Gordon, I assume my problem was "outta gas" and if so I had no notice of it as I rounded a turn and its just died. I can effectively swich the petcok on the fly but I was sure I could go much farther (~160 mikes) before reserve was needed MY BAD!!! Now I know by 80 miles I better get gas....man this tank is small for long rides I know this has been discussed over and over here for a long time.

Gordon, it looks like lack of warning on fuel starvation and the starting issue has been seen by you and now its good enough for me to assume this is indeed prevalent and what I experienced. I am not alone

I did buy this bike in part because of the impressive reliability Honda has shown in their products...Can't tell you how many Harley s I have seen on the side of the road (maybe an unfair comment as there are so many and so many modified in a stupid manor).

Fred, sounds like your taking the moves in stride. Ive been around. I am from Chicago moved to Seattle back to Chicago over to Manchester NH and now in Phoenix. Happy with the year riding round riding as well! Its a bit hot in the summer so I don't ride much then but I could if I wanted to.
