Gordonv,

Given all the experience on this forum, I doubt there's a bike that someone around here has not owned or worked on.

I owned my 99T from 2001 until 2004, when I sold it to buy my GL1800.  Put 36k miles on the wing until I sold it in 2008.
Now I'm on a 99 Royal Star.

Any way, found the kill switch secret in the Sheetz parking lot in Romney, WV.  During our rally, I was getting ready to pull into a parking spot when a little, old gray hair cut me off and took the spot.  I stopped quickly, lost my balance and dropped the bike.  When it would not start, I just shut everything down, turned it back on, and my bike started.

As for working on strange bikes, I remember installing a radio in a Vetter fairing on a mid-70's Norton 850 Commando.  The Brit bike was a 12vdc positive ground and the radio was 12vdc neg ground.  We had to isolate and insulate the radio so it would not touch the bike frame, running the power and ground directly to the battery.
