I once saw a bike that had a custom seat on it, and there was a crevice about 3" wide and 6" long molded into the seat. The owner said that it was a factory built seat, but I can't remember who made it. It provided the same comfort in that it relieved the pressure point on the tailbone. Same principle, I guess. I had a local upholsterer add a section of a memory foam pillow to my wing seat. It really made a huge difference and I no longer feels as if I've been kicked in the rear when I go on long rides. It was actually cheaper to buy a memory foam pillow from WalMart than to buy a section of foam block in the raw. Keep in mind that there are different densities (firmness) of memory foam. Too soft and you sink to the seat pan.
