Does anyone on the forum belong to or know of the American Legion Rider organization?

Mike, Since your original post three years ago there has been an explosion of American Legion Rider Chapters forming around the country. As far as NE Ohio goes, last year I joined the Vermilion chapter, as that was the closest to me (Parma Heights). Now a chapter has formed in Brookpark and my Post in Parma Heights is in the process of forming a chapter, to which I will transfer my membership.
There is a link on the main ALR website page americanlegionriders.net/ that lists all the chapters in the country by state. You can also find the procedure for forming a new chapter at your Post on their website. I was in D.C. again this past Memorial Day weekend and saw alot of ALR members. The ALR also placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that weekend. |

Thanks, Pat. I rode an ALR poker run at my old post in Indiana this past August and we had a terrific time.
I'm going to look for a chapter out South of Cleveland. My post in Wadsworth doesn't have enough interest / riders right now to start a chapter. Now.....if there was a John Deere riders club I could have a great turn out. Mike For God and Country |
