We about a week ago I (well I mean the wife) decided that we should get something that I going to work, and on the weekend the whole family could enjoy. So I started looking around and found something that I had when I we younger. So instead of a bike that only me and the wife can enjoy, I got something that me the wife and the kids can enjoy as well. Atleast for now that is. If a chance came open on a bike, I would jump. But for now I am no longer looking b/c this is my new summer toy. 1998 Ford Mustang GT Convertable. Has the K&N instake, exhaust, slighlty lowered and Cobra wheels. Let me know what you guys think....... So far I have enjoyed it, shes loud. But I havnt had a chance for that top to come down yet. Hope she works out!!! USMC(OIF/OEF)

HSATF 1st Officer Posts: 5120 03/01/09 5:12 PM	Nice! I have always wanted a ragtop since I was a teen. My cousin had a Canary yellow '64 Chevelle SS convertible that we would cruise in, back then. At the moment, I'm not ready to give up the bike yet, but when it comes time to do so, this is what I'll be looking for. My boss has a '77 Mercedes SL350 (gas version with both hard and soft tops) that he has had for several years and kept in great condition. He mentioned selling it to me for $7700. If times were better, I'd be jumping all over it. It's black with tan leather and really stands out in the parking lot. Posts: 1810 03/01/09 5:27 PM	very nice 'stang jeremy! i don't think you'll regret getting that, and like you said, the whole family will enjoy it. don't know if you read here, but i just bought a '00 GT, and you're right, they have an awesome sound to them. i'll most likely get a ticket in mine before long....just like spinning them tires too much. i have a friend who has a transmission shop near me and all of us "crazy guys" get in his parking lot and do burnouts. the other day i was there in the 'stang and power braked it 'til the smoke was rolling! benny(my friend)came running out and said "hey bud, those two guys over there getting in their car are cops!!!" oh well, they couldn't do anything there, but now they'll probably be looking for me! i put these billet grills on mine, and my next project will be to lower it a little. i had the GT wheels on mine, but found these Mach 1 wheels i liked better. HAVE FUN IN THE SUN!!! bud HEY JEREMY.....meant to tell you, if the '98 top is like mine, be sure you read the manual. i thought mine wasn't working, and messed with it for about an hour 'til i finally got the manual out and found out the parking brake had to be on for the top to actuate. HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 174 03/01/09 7:08 PM	LOL!!! Yea I already figured out how to put the top down!!!! Mine is lowered and it drags on a lot if im not careful. Like going thru parking lot and going over the speed bumps.... but I just figured i would go around them USMC(OIF/OEF)

HSATF 1st Officer Posts: 2198 03/02/09 9:35 AM	Cool! I like it!! Here's mine setting behind the trike. '98 GT. Lazer Red, tan top, tan leather interior. I bought it brand new in 1998. Been diving it 11 years. Only has 72,000 miles on it. It wasn't my first Mustang (that was a '66 GT back in 1968), but it may be my last. I plan on driving it for a long time to come. It is almost as much fun as the trike. Be careful, it makes the people around you nervous when you drive it with the top down and your helmet on!!!! -Dan

That normally doesnt happen. Thanks to everyone for the great comments. I really wish I could have got me another bike, but when the wife makes a final decision.... Well if your married you know how that is! Plus now I can enjoy the wind in my face, WITH my kids! I know they will love riding in it as well!!! The ONLY thing I dont like is that it is an automatic. I wish it was a 5speed. But my wife couldnt push the cluth in on the standards. So I settled for an auto! also Dan all I see is a red X. so I will take a look whenever I get home and see if the pic shows up. USMC(OIF/OEF)

HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 231 03/02/09 1:27 PM	Good move. I was saving up money for my 2004 Mustang GT Convertible, screaming yellow with the scopes, V8 Auto. I owned a few convertibles back in BC (before children), and have been wanting to get one again. I have a part time weekend job driving/parking cards for Park N' Fly in Vancouver, and get to test drive cars that I would NEVER be able to afford, and then others I can, and after 2 years like the 04' Mustange of the earlier and later models, in style and driving. I have a full time job which I have stock plans in through work, and was half way to having the cash to buy my 04' stang, when we started getting those rocketing gas prices, and since there is my wife and I only now (kids grown) I was going to eat the regular gas prices, the high prices made me change my mind into a new bike. After spending 2 months looking for one that would work as a daily driver and then have a passenger for pleasure rides, I realized that I had the cash to buy it now. The rest is history, I found the ACE Tourer, and it gives me the joy of a convertible, along with all the othere beneifits of a bike, which I don't need to explain to you people. With the gas low agian, I'm starting to save again for the 04' Mustang for my off season driver. I think you've done an excellent pick for your needs and you'll enjoy it for many years to come. Believe me when I say I've driven them all. So unless you can either afford a BMW/Mercedes, or only need a 2 seater, that was your best choice. Gordon
