I'm going through withdrawal symptoms! Had to bring the T to a friend of mine who works on all things Honda. The fork seals had failed and I was losing
fork oil. Besides that, the speedometer wasn't working well - wouldn't register above 50mph (which, on balance, might be convenient in talking to law
enforcement officers), and the light wouldn't come on. Turns out the speedo that came with the bike (which I had purchased from College Bike Shop in
Lansing MI) had a nice new cover on it, but the innards were toast (don'tcha hate being deceived?)! So I found a speedo in very good shape on Ebay, paid
through the teeth to get it overnighted, and it arrived this morning and I handed it off to my friend, so I should have my beloved T back tomorrow afternoon.
Yowza!

Sorry about the mechanicals and the misdemeanors. It's so much easier to forgive machines than men. That pouty look
still works well after all those years of marriage. Hope your T dosen't get fixed too soon to change your expression, but soon enough to enjoy the spring warm up. |
