i've had the suzi in a shed that's attached to the end of my carport, so decided to move it to a better location today. as some of you know, i still do
a little woodworking and have my basement garage set up for that and have actually been really busy in it. have done three grand pianos in the last month or
so, have another in there now and have another coming the first of january. so, didn't see anywhere in the near future that i'd probably have enough
room for the bike inside the garage.
SOLUTION: well, i remembered rudy parking his duck in the motel room, so thought...um-m-m-m, why couldn't i do that in my living room?? after all, i'm a bachelor and answer to only myself, so what if i want to park a motorcycle in my living room? people will just think i'm just a crazy old fart of 65 who's lost his marbles...well, maybe they're right!!
problem was, i had about 34-35" of clearence through my front door and my bars from end to end are nearly 37". but figured i could move them around enough to "wiggle" it through.....worked!! it wasn't easy, so i won't be bringing it in and out much, but at least the moisture will be off it now. worst part was that i had lowered the bike so much that it high centered on my door theshold and i had a little trouble getting it over that as i was doing it by myself, but finally managed and all is well.
