Now, just having broken through the age barrier (turned 40), I look back and wonder how the hell I survived all the log trucks screaming down gravel roads, the two weeks of rocky/muddy hard travel, the roadside breakdowns in torrential rains. All worth it. Great roads, great scenery, great people we met.

The Valkyrie Riders did a gathering in New Denver in June. We drove up to Kelowna the day before the 1st day of the 3 day event, spent the night and then a leasurely drive from Kelowna to New Denver via Vernon. My first time that way, the drive from Vernon was great, only draw back was the single lanes with commercial traffic.
I only went as far as the ferry to Fauquier, as I didn't reserve a room at the inn, Valhalla Inn (nice name for Valk riders) didn't know I could get the time off and new to my Valk. But it was some amazing rides, riders, and scenery in that area. I need to go back next years annual event.
They rode the second day, from New Denver, Nelson, with a stop at the Ainsworth Hot Springs for a dip, then back to New Denver. They have links on the VRCC-BC message board for pictures and notes on the rides.I'll try to remember to post here when the next scheduled trip is planned, and maybe get from T to show up with all those Valks?
