hey guys, been a long time since the old roadrocket has posted, but i always come by a few times a week to see what's new. i gave up biking last year (summer of 2011) due to some health problems. nothing serious, but just thought at 68 and with my bad back and hip, it was time. to be honest and as much as i hate to admit it, i feel much better and don't have near the pain i had when riding.
all this being said, a friend of mine called the other day and wanted to sell me his 1100 Shadow. i knew the bike and also knew how he took care of his "toys", so drove over and ended up buying the bike. right up front, i'll tell you i only bought it to try and make a few bucks, but i also bought it at a price where i can pass on a good deal, i believe.
it's an '88 Honda Shadow with only 22,000 miles, always kept inside and has had Harley fenders converted to it for a very unique look. bike starts and runs great, but will need tires in the near future. chrome and paint is near excellent with the exception of a quarter size scratch (no dent) at the left rear of the tank. looks like where chaps may have rubbed it. if i get the time, i may repaint this area.
please excuse my old dirty carport area and if anybody is interested, i can get it outside and get some much better pics. i'm also listing it on KC Craigslist if anybody wants to check it out there.
price is $2,000.
