Neat looking little trailer |

Here is a neat looking motorcycle hauler. It would be ideal for small cars as it only weighs 180 lbs. Check out the Stinger traler below.

Stan....in my search of motorcycle trailers I've come across several models similar to this one. I'll have to admit this one is pretty novel. One question that still persists with me about these small single-bike trailers is the fact that they seem to expose the motorcycle. I would think that a bike would be exposed to flying debris from the tow vehicle. Stones, rocks, road spray. Isn't that a negative with these types of trailers? Perhaps not. One might say that a motorcycle going down the road is exposed to as much debris hitting it as it would receive on a trailer such as this one. I'm no expert, but I do realize that at some point in my riding career a trailer is going to be a necessity.

Over $1500 with shipping for that? Are they out of their Vulcan minds? There can't be $100 worth of materials there.

Personally I have never had debris kicked up by the tow vehicle kick anything but water onto a bike being trailered behind. That ain't always a bad thing as you can off load down the road a bit, ride into wherever you're going, and proclaim "just rolled in from....... Hey, the posers do it all the time!

Lou....when I was building Street Rods there was always a stigma against guys who would trailer their cars and then compete for prizes and trophies for best looking cars. I would always drive because that what my cars were built for.
Motorcycles and my aging (and aching) back dictate another measure of preservence for me. I have absolutely no hang ups about trailering my bike (if I had a trailer) to an event. To me that means that I can enjoy myself that much more when I arrived. And as for others I find no fault with trailering, in fact I think it is a wise decision to do so. I'm no Iron-Butt rider and have no desire to be one. More power to those that do. I understand their passion and in fact admire them for doing so. It's just not my thing. Alain |

Very nice concept for the trailer but are those just 8 inch wheels? If so, a larger wheel would be a nice option.
Alain, I agree. As I get wiser (I left myself open on that one) I have no problem hooking up the trailer and loading the bikes on if the destination is far away. I am also a firm believer that the trip is just as important as the distination but my body does not always agree with the long haul on the bike in a short amount of time. Bob |

Hey Bob....we just had a civil conversation between us. First time since ESRRR.
I'm going to use this opportunity and get off the subject for just a moment and ask you how is Sue feeling? I would hope that by now she is more comfortable? Alain |

Thanks for asking Alain. Sue is feeling GREAT. She is back to her dangerous self again...and I like it!
Next time we get together you will see the real Sue. All I can say is rest up. There. Should we go back to bantering again? Bob |

Hey guys the civility is great if a bit out of character. As you both know I am a strong believer in trailering my bike if much distance is involved. I have been in that frame of mind for quite some time and the past year has taught me that it is the only way for me to get to an event and then be able to enjoy myself while there --- this aging and other effects are hell at times. But if trailering can help keep me riding and enjoying the companionship of other riders ..... well, I'm busily finishing up a new trailer specifically intended for the sole job of hauling Halfbreed. You can bet you will be seeing her at our next get together at Eureka. Bob, Lori and I are so glad to hear that Sue is feeling better and remember you guys owe us a visit sometime when yer down here in the right part of this here country.

There is no stigma in trailer a bike in my book. The trailer just needs to be as cool as the bike.

I agree that the price is a bit much for what it is, but when compared to other brands out there, it comes in at about half the money and half the weight. I brought this to our attention because not everyone has a vehicle that will tow a conventional trailer, and a bike, w/o safety issues. Plus, it can be folded up and stored in your motel room, back porch, or the back of an SUV or small truck, which in turn reduces the posibility of theft.
I don't particularly like the small wheels either, but to remain compact and lightweight, which BTW is one of the main selling points, you have to give up something. It is still rated for a continuos 70mph trip. If you read the specs, you'll find that it uses the motorcycles rear suspention also which helps give it a smoother ride. So, if you drive a small vehicle that is rated for towing less than 1000lbs., then this might be an alternative to a heavier trailer. If feul prices continue to go up, then this just might be an option for me also. I believe that Lou's little Suzuki AeroX would pull this just fine. Of course, I'd most likely build mine from scratch for less than half the money in materials, not everyone has the ability or resources to do so. Stan 1999 Ace Tourer (Silver over Black)
