Ok drained the radiaitor and coolant system, took radiator to get repaired and flushed out. Got it back after flushing the block and overfill tank put everything back together and proceeded to pour 2.1 quarts into the radiator fill neck, at about 1 and a 1/2 quarts it starts to fill up and i spill a little bit out of the neck. i figure ok i'll just start the bike and see if it makes it go down, well so far still full and now it's got smoke or just visible steam coming from somewhere around the radiator, is it just the coolant i spilled burning off? is it a leak? i checked where the hoses all connect they all seem to be dry with no leaks. question is how long does it take for spilled coolant to burn off. if it's not that wheres a good area to check? i'm getting so tired of all this motorcycle fix it crap. this is why i bought a honda. and to make matters worse i'm broke and can't buy anything else or take it to a honda wrench. Any ideas/duggestions would be greatly appreciated

Probably an obvious question but did you follow the bleeding procedure in the manual? The air needs to be bled from the system.

Could be a pin hole in radiator. I had one not long ago.
Did the same thing ...steam like.... But left a quarter size puddle after it sat and cooled down. is your doing that? Although could be burn off also. Sorry i'm not much help. Kens T |

It better not be leaking it was just fixed. but anyways it quit steaming and it only puked a thimbul full of coolant when i got back from a 15 mile ride today testing it. I rode aprox 100-105mph the entire time to make sure she got really good and hot, to be honest i don't know if there is anything wrong with it. I willjust run it the way it is now till it tells me theres something wrong with it

Give that area a good rinse while engine is cool. In fact, since you baked it on already, give it a real good rinse and then go for a ride to burn off the excess water. Unless you like smelling anti-freeze all the time, you will have to do this. Even though the anti-freeze dries up in appearance there will always be a residue left behind that will have an oder to it.
