There are pics of her in the members forum area listed for BigAlsDaMan. Look around, there are alot of over priced T's out there but you can buy a basic stock 98 or 99 for $5K or $6K or you can own this 2000 gem for $6K with all the hard to find chrome already there. I'm located in sunny central Florida, come down for bike week and take home your new T. Im only 45 minutes south of Daytona. Stats on my bike: 2000 "T" 23000+ (turned 23K on 11/06/2007) and still purring Black and Chrome Stage One Jet Kit Vance & Hines Dual baggers K-grips with Vista Throttle Lock. Service manual included as well. The HIGHWAY pegs don't come with it. They are my Harley pegs and I'm going to move them to my new bike. I was going to trade-in my T and when I told them all I had installed, they told me I could not recover any of the costs of the add-ons. They further went on to say, when they get a 'loaded' bike, they strip the goodies and sell them on ebay. So, before I sold my T, I striped and sold the add-ons to friends on this forum. After my T was 'back to basics' I was able to get a reasonable offer near the NADA retail value. BTW, I had about $2500 in extras which I was able to sell for about $1500. Andy

Sort of makes me wonder....it would seem that someone could buy a stripped down T and get the accessories from ebay at a price that would have been better had you tried to buy the same bike fully loaded. Makes it more of a buyers market than a sellers market. Alain

Posts: 1908 02/01/07 10:45 PM	Al, Actually, I think the reverse applies. I sold my 99 T in 2004 for $5200 (or $5600), cannot remember the details. I had over $2500 in add-ons. Buyers were balking at a $6800 price tag, saying it was too far over NADA. Even when I explained it had all the addons they were not swayed. By striping the bike and selling the parts I got $1400 for the addons and $5200 for the bike, or $6,600 total. In a buyers market you could probably get a loaded bike for near NADA meaning you would get the goodies for free. BTW, I think it's always a buyers market, unless you have a really rare bike. The only part I left on my T was the saddlebag top rails, since I drilled a few holes to mount them.

HSATF 1st Officer Posts: 587 02/02/07 12:08 AM	Al & Andy, I had a 96 VT1100 for 7 years. Got the same advice from a dealer when I went to sell it. I took a lot of stuff off of it, the K&N air filter, J&M intercom/CB, lightbar headlight visors, drive shaft cover, front and rear Cobra floorboards, air horn, mustang seat, Hondaline backrest and luggage rack, triple tree covers and bolt covers, even the leather fringe hand grips and clutch and brake lever covers. I put them on my T. The dealer said the bike was worth about the same--even after I took all that stuff off! When I sold the bike, I still had Leather-Lyke bags, a windshield, light bar, and a few pieces of chrome here and there. I kept the price of the bike up by telling people that if someone didn't want to pay a lttle extra for my bike, I would strip it down, sell the extras on e-Bay, and then the bike would be cheaper in about six weeks. That seemed to work. I got really close to my asking price about two weeks after putting it up for sale. Stony
