I have 70 miles on my 99 that I just bought new from the dealer with 1 mile.
Underneath on the left side next to the capped crank case drainage tube is a second drainage tub which is uncapped. I am getting some drops of gasoline coming from this tube after start up and riding. Not a lot of gas, but it does drip at times. (not all the time) Took it to the dealer Saturday. Over the phone he thought it may be drainage from the carbs. After looking at the tube, he stated that it is a breather tube which is connected to the gas tank, and not to worry about it. I told him that it seemed to take awhile for the bike to warm up, and that if I pushed this time period it would feel sluggish when I first started riding. He informed me that a 10 to 15 minute warm up was normal for the Shadows, especially being new and that it would improve. The bike is running fine and he said it sounded great.
So, anyone else have the gas drops? Please tell me its so.
Thanks
