ebay has a perpetual list of service manuals. The one on DVD has been highly recommended to me and as I recall the price is quite reasonable. Hope this helps.

I've always wondered if those eBay CDs are pirate copies.
I found a hardcopy myself on there for a very reasonable price. Works out if you are patient and not in need of one immediately. Duke |

i bought a CD from ebay. It is a pirated copy, damn thing came from Greece. Had no indication this was the case from the listing. On the brighter side, the guy did ship it and it appears to be complete. I would recommend a genuine Honda paper service manual.

They're not cheap, but I won't own a vehicle without the OEM service manual. Aftermarkets just don't cut it. I've never owned a CD/DVD version. If I sell the vehicle later, I throw the service manual in as part of the deal.

I bought mine in CD format from James Huggins at qualitymanuals@triad.rr.com for $35 shipped. It took less than a week to get it once I paid for it. He has them for many bikes and in both CD & DVD format. It's a direct scan of the factory manual and microfiche, and is done in very high resolution for clarity. This allows you to zoom in and blow the images up for a closer look w/o distortion. It takes it a while to open up due to the high resolution but is very high quality. I went to the electrical diagrahms and enlarged them several times until the letters for the colors of the wires were 1/2" high and printed a copy to take out to the shop with me. I'd bet these are pirated but they are done properly. Again, it
is slow to open up but worth it for the quality and details. Maybe the DVD format would be faster. Stan |

If you join HRCA, you are given access to the service manual for your bike. You can download it to your computer but it has some kind of date lockout that will render it unusable after a year. I printed a hardcopy of the manual and keep it in the garage. It's easier to use than a CD or .PDF file; plus the keyboard stays cleaner.

Hey....another VT800 owner. I just sold my VT800 in April to buy my T. I too tried to buy a service manual and found it impossible. A few dealers told me they
could get one, but I was never certain that they were dedicated VT800 service manuals.
Good luck finding one and enjoying your VT800. I enjoyed mine. Pictures of mine are in the Member photo for Non-Tourers. See my VT800 photos. Welcome to our forum also. alepel |
