I need some chrome metric bolts anyone know of a good source |

I installed some forward controls and the hardware sent is junk. I am looking for a hand full of metric bolts. Specifically an m6-1.0x50mm in a button head. This is a very elusive bolt. The metric is the problem and they usually stop at the 40mm length. I cannot use a standard size since it goes through a bearing. HHHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPP please

Helog, one of the local repair shops that caters to Harleys is the best source of chrome metric bolts that I know of. Have you tried any of the Harley dealers or repair shops in your area?

If you're willing to go with stainless steel, they're all over the place.
Here's an example: www2.catalognavigator.com...c&filter=0 Dougcan

when I want shiney hardware, I use stainless steel and polish them up. just get on the bench grinder and remove any markings on the top and then move to the buffing wheel with jewelers rouge. since it's stainless, it stays shiney...unless you plunk it into the ocean.

Be careful with stainless as it is not nearly as strong as regular steel.

I bought chrome bolts, washers, and acorn nuts at the local ACE hardware store.
