Don't worry about us. My bed comments can be taken for their face value. When I travel with my Goldwing, I'll have 3-4 bags of luggage. Add in a couple of jackets, my helmet, the bike cover, gloves, GPS, notebook and other stuff I tend to carry with me... I usually find myself looking for places to keep the gear. If I got a room with a king bed, all of the stuff would have to be stored on the hotel floor if I wanted to keep the counter tops clear. Since I'm traveling on my own, all I really need is a double bed. By getting a room with two doubles, I can store my gear on the second bed.

As for the other comments in this board. Many of us have ridden together in many rallys. I think I've ridden with Fred in seven or eight rallys, covering multi-thousand of miles. All of the forum members treat each other as brothers and at times our conversations are like talking to each other over supper. At other times, our conversations are like talking to each other on a Saturday night at a local watering hole.

Out of all the members I've met at this forum, I can honestly say each and every one of them are outstanding and upstanding citizens. I would let any of them stay at my house and I'm sure most, if not all feel the same.

I plan to arrive late Thursday. I'm planning on taking the same roads as I did last year on my way to Princeton/Americade, with one little twist. Just before Beckley I'm going to jump on I77 and do a butt burner to the hotel. I figure I'll be in Beckley about 3-4pm which is only 2-3 hours from Marion.
