I sincerely hope this doesn't strike you all as being a whining note as it is basically just an update on what some of you already know. I
have a condition known as multiple myeloma. It is a cancer of the blood cells that eats into the skeletal structure and causes pretty general weakness and
fatigue. They don't use the terms multple myeloma and cure in the same sentance, paragraph, or book. They have tried danged near every treatment known
and although a couple of them have slowed the progression a mite, most of them have caused problems of their own to the point they had to be halted. Today
they just delivered the latest, and last of the chemo treatments known to combat the condition. We are of course hoping that it works, but the batting average
for my body being able to withstand the "cure" hasn't been good. That's why this trip to Eureka Springs was being anticipated so greatly and
I hate having to say I can't make it.
I sincerely hope that many if not all of you attending are able to take a day trip over to see us here at home. I can furnish a round trip map that will let
you see some gorgeous roads to ride without having to double back on any and Lori and I would put on a cookout for whatever day around noontime works. I know
this is asking a lot of you all while you are in the middle of the rally. Whatever would work for you all the best will surely be fine with Lori and I. I
hope that I'm not intruding on anyone's plans with this idea, but I would sure like to see all of you if possible.
Lou
