First of all I am located in the GREAT Northwest, I have been here since Christmas 1996, and I absolutely love it. But anyways, more about 1 of my loves, and the reason I am here. On Sunday May 6th 2001 I was at the 19th Annual Governors Run, in Bremerton Washington. Where I came upon a Black 2000 Honda Shadow A.C.E. Tourer at the show that a local Dealership was selling. I sat on this bike and fell in love. So the Next business day (a Tuesday to be exact) I went down to the dealership and spotted that "Black Beauty", but now wait, there was her Identical Twin. (2 A.C.E.'s) one had about 25 - 30 miles on it and the other had 1.1 miles, so inquired about the lower mileage one, there were a few cosmetic flaws on that one though. On the right saddle bag there was a section about ½" wide by 3" long that the paint was not really there (hard to explain) and there was a large scratch on the plastic radiator cover. The bikes were already discounted price considering they were 2000 models and the additional "Governors Run" discount. I asked if they would be willing to drop the price of the bike a bit due to the blemishes on the bike, Price was not dropped any more, but they did included the 3 year extended warranty, plus $250 Honda Bucks for riding gear. Oh and the bike is #15. BUT there was one problem………… I didn't have my endorsement or I didn't even have my Motorcycle Safety Course, so I could not drive it home which was on a Military base. So I ended up bringing it home on a trailer. For a few days it sat in my garage, because I never rode a bike this big before, actually, I never even owned a bike before. All I did was drive my Dad's 80's Yamaha Maxim 650 around our place in the 80's. "What a stupid thing I just did!" I debated taking it back, but I said Hell with it, I need a commuter bike to go back and forth to work 45 miles one way with catching a ferry across Puget Sound twice a day. So I jumped on the bike, started it up and headed around the block, did this for a few days, then I ventured down the road, hey it came back like riding a bike? LOL Go figure. 6 years I do not regret getting a bike, and no better bike than MY 2000 Honda Shadow A.C.E. Tourer VT1100C. A Special thank you to "gr8scott51" for leaving a card on my bike at this years run.

She wonders why I would need 2 bikes? I
asked her why she needed more than 1 purse....... I got the "look"! Well maybe someday
