It's not a Cobra or Jardine, that's for sure. Custom World maybe?

I would say Custom World.

I'm thinking it's a Custom World also. It has been discontinued by them if it is - at least for the T that is. It may still be available for the Ace
and be the same part as for the T.

Well.... I have a CWI on my 2000T and it sure doesn't look like that. Mine attaches through the 2 lower mounting holes on the windshield. I guess it could
still be a CWI though - just a different style than what I have.

Hey, this is a great question. I have exactly the same light bar. My 98 bike was originally purchased in Florida and the light bar was added down there and
was on it when I got the bike used in 2001. Not sure that helps any but?????????
I wonder if this was a Honda dealer part of some sort? I note mine is mounted with sawed off bolts and washers to get the proper spacings, so likely it was not made for the T. Maybe adapted from another Shadow model???? Now the real question, can you figure some way to mount the turn indicators to it? I have not tried real hard, but have decided I like the looks of the light bars with turn indicators mounted directly below the lights. |

Stan it looks a little like a Highway Hawk brand from Bikercom.com with retro spots. My Custom World bar mounts to the windshield bracket bolts so when you
take the windshield off there is no where to mount it to.

Possibly........I plan to sell the whole bike this spring/summer as it is for a set price (see "For Sale") threads. If it does not bring enough as it
is, then I'll start stripping it down to lower the price. Once the bike sells, then I'll offer the goodies that were taken off to the new owner.
Anything the new owner does not want will be offered for sale here 1st.......then on ebay.

No response before so I want to try this again.....
Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone knew if the driving lamps on the Cobra Lightbar are the same as the driving lamps on the CWI lightbar? Or are the driving lamps purchased separately and you can pick and choose what you want?

The only experience with Cobra that I have had are that the lamps come with the light bars that they sell. However, you can buy just the lamps separately from
Cobra if you happen to damage one. That's not saying that you can't mount the Cobra lights on another bar. If you want, I have an extra set of light
pods (housings) by Cobra if you find just a light bar that you like. You will need new bulbs or at least one new bulb for them, though. I scavenged one of them
when mine blew last summer.

Stan....thank you for the offer. I am still wondering however if the driving lamps for the Cobra are the same as the ones for the CWI.

Most brands that I know of have 55W bulbs in each light. There is at least one manufacturer that offers 35W replacement bulbs. I can't remember where I saw
these lower wattage bulbs off hand so maybe someone else on the board can help. I know that "The Electrical Connection" has, or had an LED version
out, but they do not have the same projection as the incandescents. I'm fairly sure the ACE light bar will fit the T as long as the bottom of the
windshield is open such as yours, Alain. You will likely need to add a spacer or two for better alignment. I know that I did on mine.

Alain,
My Cobra lightbar has 35W lamps. They light up the road about 20 feet in front of the bike which is not useful for driving down the road except for seeing straight down at parking lot speeds. I installed the Cobra lightbar with the idea that I likes the looks and I want to be seen by other drivers. I have adjusted them as high and as far looking down the road as I can get them, but that still is not high enough to provide useful light when I am riding any where other than a parking lot or in my driveway/garage. Considering the difficulties with my T's charging system (1 replacement stator and 2 replacement voltage regulators) I would be reluctant to put any higher wattage bulbs than 35W in the Cobra's side spotlights. Are others running 55W-60W spotlights without burning up their charging system components?

Fredrider wrote: Fred....thank you for your input. You've raised some very sobering concerns and I hope that our forum brothers chime in here and let us know if they
are experiencing the same issue as you. I know that over the years you've had your difficulties with your charging system. It would be nice to find out if
this is a common problem to all of us Tourer owners or perhaps a problem unique to just your charging system.
