the leaves are falling and making the roads
1) fun to enjoy the ride, looking at the pretty colors 2) dangerous when those leaves cover obsticles and get wet and slippery in the dewing mornings

kirk, you bring up a great point. one of my scariest motorcycle moments was sliding off the edge of a small asphalt road with wet leaves on it (on my last
bike, '88 shadow vt800). fortunately i was going pretty slow, was slowing down for the curve and landed in a leaf filled ditch. while frightening, it could
have ended up so much worse. basically, i was able to right my bike, and drive off with nothing wrong with my bike and just a small bruise to my pride...

Leaves falling, heck we still got flowers bloomin' here in Georgia. Won't be leaf peepin' season here for another month!!!

92 degrees here on the Texas Gulf Coast. Just getting ready to start late summer.
We have had 65 inches of rain this year. Most folks are still mowing their lawns twice a week. -Dan PERSPECTIVE

Mine is 3 1/2 acres and it gets mowed about once a week , sometimes I can get away with every two weeks in the fall . But we have not seen fall around here yet , it is still summer . They are calling for some really good riding weather in the next few days though . The temps are supposed to be lower and the humidity is supposed to stay a little more reasonable than normal . I am on my way out to go far a ride over to Dayton for a meeting this morning . Bag Rails Needed!!!!!!!!!!! |
