Ever since my stator wires blew up and stopped charging my battery, I've been paranoid with it happening again. Has anyone wired in a voltmeter gauge? What brand, where connected, what size wire?

I used the kuryakyn digital volt meter,, but still have the charging problem parts are on order hopefully this week... I connected it to the speedometer light
wire and mounted it on a small piece of stainless just to the right of the speedo... hope that helps...

I have the LED type voltmeter that has a row of LED's as the indicator. 4 green ones for "OK", 2 yellow ones for "caution", and 2 red
ones for "your in trouble now". It lights up brighter when ever the regulator is in charge mode so that you can see the charge cycles as they occur.
At 1st the bright lights were a little annoying at night, but make it easier to spot trouble during the daylight. These can be mounted to your handlebars,
tank, top triple tree, windshield, etc. via the double sided tape. They are available in chrome or black.
