Any of you folks have a trick for removing burnt on rubber/plastic from a exhaust pipe? I bought another bike a VLX600 to re-sell and it has what looks to be
shoe rubber on the pipe. Thanks

Ditto on the WD40. Use a shop rag wet with WD40 and add a generous amount of elbow grease while the pipe is warm.
Do not use abrasive chrome cleaners or steel wool. These will leave a dulled look in the chrome. Stan

After riding, while the pipe is still hot, just wipe it with a cotton cloth.
