Mine's not very imaginative... title and first name. But my congregation really gets a kick out of having a biker rabbi. And it is a conversation starter.

One cannot stop another's imagination, so just accept my vision Rabbi, ....I have kind of pictured you as a Rabbi Lewis (of sorts), the Ben Stiller
character in 'Keeping the Faith'. (If you haven't seen the movie, its not a bad thing.)

I'll take it as a compliment, though in general I just don't fit the mold. Most Jews don't believe in Jesus (
), don't own Sig Sauer
P220's ( ), and most rabbis are not bikers ( ). What a %$#['*! (that was tongues for "blessed") country!!!

Twenty plus years in the Marines gave me all the hands-on with a .45 I needed. Of course, w did switch over to the 9mm Barretta in '84. Today I prefer the
.40. I carry a Glock 23.

Hi Rabbi Glenn, You must be from a Messianic congregation. Before Hurricane Katrina decimated the area, we had a Messianic congregation meeting in our Church
every Sabbath. I know what you mean about having your congregation accept you because in addition to riding with CMA, where we minister to bikers, I also teach
a rather large weekly Bible study in a traditional Southern Baptist congregation. My students, have adjusted to a bearded biker, professional photojournalist,
seminary educated ex-cop, who also carries a Sig P220...LOL..It's amazing what will happen when you show God's love, teach His truths and trust His
Spirit....YBIC....Bob <><

Rabbi Glenn, what does the license plate mean?
My userid come from where I used to work and my knickname there. I was known as Spaz. It came from the first time I dated "Sis". I used to work with her brother, actually sat in the cube next to him. Well, after that first date with his sister, we were sitting around at break time at work, with a bunch of other people, and he throws out the line from the old movie "Meatballs"... "Did you hold her hand in the woods, Spaz?" and it stuck.
Keep your knees in the breeze!

Wow - I'm away from the computer for ONE day, and it all starts to back up! Anway, thanks you guys for all your affirming comments!!! Alain, Eddie and Bob
- I'd LOVE to get together with you if and when you are in Michigan. I live in Birmingham, which is near Bloomfield Hills/Southfield/Troy, etc. Bob, you
and I seem to have a whole lot in common! As long as y'all are willing to tolerate a guy who's never ridden more than 200 miles in a day (and until my
kids are much older, not likely to do so). Meanwhile, I'm feeling miserable (viral "thing" - started on antibiotics yesterday, plus a strained
lower back to boot!), and I'm getting back in bed now.

Where in NY are ya from Mark (HaChayalBoded)
I'm from Schenectady near Albany, right mid State. I've been here all my life and the little woman and I are ready for warmer weather, Charlotte seems like the place to be. I can race Fred through the Mountains that way...

Guns 90 and all the rest of you with those great nicknames.
When I initially logged in to the HSATF I was planning on using the nickname " Wuzz Fuzz " as I had just retired from the Police Force after 36 yrs. but as I navigated through the process of logging in, I got things jumbled and ended up using my name John Manderson. I felt bad about not posting a nickname and wasn't quite sure how to make the correction and didn't want to bother Skip being new to the forum so I just left my name as is. It's too late to change now so I will just keep using my same old name. Thanks Gary for posting this thread as it's interesting how some of our members used their imagination when posting their nickname. Cheers, John |

Hi Alain,
The " Fuzz " if you haven't heard of it, was a popular term used when I was in High School during the early 60's. I have no idea where this term came from but the local cops in my hometown and many areas throughout Canada were referred to as the " Fuzz " which was quite a soft reference word in comparison to the different words Cops have been called since. Most of us old retired Cops get a kick out of it and in fact about 60 or 70 of us meet twice a year for our " Wuzz Fuzz Luncheon ." I'm not sure if this term was used in the U.S. That's about it for the trivia. The other nickname I was also considering was " Copper T " as I was riding an ace tourer at the time but now a valkyrie tourer. Thanks for the vote but I will stick with the name I started with.... If I start changing names now, the boys will think I'm losing it!! Cheers, John |

John....you make me laugh. I indeed know the expression "Fuzz". Like you, I was also in high school in the early 60's. Not only that but my
degree is in Law Enforcement. Because of the military and Viet Nam I never did go into law enforcement after my discharge.
