my name was given to me by a friend of mine many years ago. CAn't remember the conversation but we were kinda flirting around with each other then trying
to figure out our relationship. She called me painterman and I just added my birth year to it. She said it was becouse that was my job, my fathers job,and his
fathers job. Kinda in the blood so I shouldn't deny who I was and always will be.

When it comes to user names, when I joined this forum some time ago I expected it would be difficult to find a name not already taken. As for mine, I live in
Lincoln Nebrska, HOME OF THE HUSKERS, so naturally Husker works quite well for me and the 99 is the year of my T.

I sometimes use Mogman as my user ID because of my other hobby Unimogs but when I signed up I forgot to use it. I guess my secret identity is blown. |

Well- it started with me as a kid (I'm 45 now). Used to get a "summer" cut after Grade school, which would make my hair kind of spikey. My
nickname as a kid was, obviously, Spike.

I am engineer in the Canadian Navy and an old slang term for a marine engineer was and still is a "Stoker". This is often shortened down to "Stokes" as a nickname give to some engineers by other, much like Guns given to gunners. CheersEd

Well I am new on here and my name came when I rode with the U.S. Military Vets MC and came is as the only one without a beard and under 40. They started
calling me Babyface and I have had that name now for for about 8 years. Though as I get older I dont think it fits as well. For all the Military guys on here I
was in the Navy for 5 years as a Damage Controlman, and now I am in the Army in the Nurse Corp.

Naming and claiming | #119 | ||

Well, for me, I saw a picture of this teal and cream, two-toned bike and it instantly reminded me of the fifties and my kindergarten teacher's Belair and
the annual summer visits from my spectator pump-wearing Aunt Betty. So, she was Betty. The fact that I found a bike that I immediately claimed by naming was
all I needed to know. And wasn't all this Nifty? Nifty Betty, and I'm from PA.

I am a new member here but on my 2nd 1998 HSAT. I found out yesterday I'm getting deployed in a couple months to Iraq for a year so I need to sell my 1998
black/creme bike ASAP. MUST SELL so I'm starting it at a very low $3250. It has tires with plenty of tread left on them, a Corbin seat, highway lights
& pegs, the rear carrier, and about 55k miles. If interested, please contact me at BirdDog1635@gmail.com. Thank you.
