I charge the battery when I get home. A couple of days later I try it again. Same thing, the bike just won't turn over.
Well it has been 3 years since I replaced the battery, so that is the obvious reason. It has been like clock work for these batteries to last me 3 years.
Christmas, New Year... etc... all sorts of stuff including some cold weather.
I finally get a battery and get it installed and ready to go. So I am somewhat excited about riding again.
I have a full face helmet that I bought some years ago, because it was on sale and I thought it would be good for cold weather riding. I usually wear a half shell helmet. (and yes I know all about helmets and why I need this one over that one...etc...)
This FF helmet fits tight, which actually doesn't bother me that much. As long as I remember to put my sun glasses on AFTER I put the helmet on.
But riding in the FF helmet is so different. The bike seems louder in a way. I have Jardines on it, so it isn't really a loud bike. But I hear the pops much more.
I also hear all sorts of metallic sounds. Nothing like when I wear the more open helmet. The sounds are just different.
I don't get a lot of wind noise with the shorty helmet because of the windshield, so that isn't masking all these sounds.
I also feel a bit more out of sync with the bike. I noticed some of my regular curves were taken wider, for no real reason.
And then I have the whole foggy shield issue in the mornings. No matter how shallow I breathe I still was fogging the shield up. So I crack it a bit. The helmet has a little vent at the mouth, but that didn't work at all.
Not really looking for advice. I just posted some observations. I wear a short helmet for the same reason I ride the bike, to be open and free. I enjoy the smells (yes even the occasional roadkill... not really enjoy.. but sorta "experience" kinda...)and the ability to see what is going on all around me as I ride.
I know it has been a while since I have visited here. I still have my Tourer, I am the original owner. Before that I had the original ACE. The T is by far the best bike I have ever owned, and that includes 2 GWs....
