Don....Thanks for posting the pictures and giving us all a chance to see what you and the Misses look like. I envy you the fact that your wife rides too. I am extremely familiar with the Yamaha Venture Royale. My younger brother is so hot for one of these, he can't stand it. For the past three years at Americade he has dragged me over to look at every single one we come across. And I can't blame him. For the money you get everything. My brother has bid on several on ebay but he losses out for one reason or another. He was forced into early retirement and money is a little tight. He will get one though. I'm positive of that. Glad you're enjoying yours so much. I use to own a Yamaha snowmobile and I just loved that engine.
Now if you'll excuse me I want cruise some of those websites you provided the links for.

Alain, Your brother ought to check-out www.venturers.org for information on the Venture Royale. They have a great tech library for repairs and add-ons. Actually, they are having a Ride-in in the Adirondacks in mid August. Members can attend and invite a friend.

The Venture was closer to a Goldwing, with a standard seating position and (if I remember correctly) a V4 powerplant rather than a V twin. It seems like Yamaha (in that instance, anyway) sort of used the Venture moniker in the same way that Honda used the Interstate nameplate (with regard to the Goldwing and later, the Valkyrie).
