I can never get more than 2 years out of them, and that's with careful maintenance (using distilled water, keeping the fluid at proper levels, using a
Battery Tender when not in use, etc.). The conventional wisdom from various message boards is that it's an inherently flawed design. I just purchase the
Yuasa "sealed" equivalent and I'm assured by the dealer that I will get longer life. My riding friends (mostly H-D riders) routinely get 5+
years from their batteries. Odyssey makes an excellent battery (used by the millitary), but they don't make a size that easily fits the ACE T.
If anyone has experience with the Yuasa YTZ14S, I'd like to know your thoughts.
