Sounds like somebody is mad as hell and is not going to take it anymore. I cannot see wearing that bright yellow T-shirt helping the situation much. It will make people aware we are here, but it will also antagonize them. I do find it amusing, but I cannot see me wearing that in public. I hope this campaign is successful in Bakersfield and elsewhere.

I can't see the T shirt idea either, but if you read the article not one one the cage drivers were paying enough attention to see the riders. So something needs to be done to raise motorcycle awareness. I've been to several places in the northeast that have road signs warning drivers to watch for motorcycles. Here in my area of Texas drivers are pretty savy whe it comes to bikes and pay attention to you. But apparently it ain't that way in Bakersfield. Three deaths in a week is to darn many. Of course I don't know how the safe the riders were either. A lot of guys I know only have a bike cause the know they can speed without getting a ticket. Any time they ride they have to be going 75 to 80 miles an hour. At that speed reaction time is 0 seconds. or less. Ted |

I once read an article on a study that said that the least visible colors for vehicles are black, gray, silver, green, brown, and med. blue.
The black, gray, silver, brown, and blue colors blend in with the pavement too much. The med. and dark greens blend in with shrubs and grass. For best visibility the best colors are white, reds, oranges, yellows, and bright yellow/greens........basically all bright colors. I know it really helps when it's pouring down rain or foggy. Stan
