It was 33 degrees outside when I left home, just south of Detroit Michigan.
This is about 1/2 hour north of Wytheville Virginia. It was that kind of day. Rain and yuck all the way.
I had planned on it getting warmer the further south I rode but it just didn't happen.
That is frost on the tree tops. When I pull into Wytheville, it was 37 degrees. So much for road shots.
The next day was more of the same. The sun finally came out in Georgia, and I was shedding clothes at each time I stopped for gas. By the time I made Jacksonville it was 72 degrees and they were complaining about the cold spell that moved into the area.
St Augustine, Florida. I was able to pack a weeks worth of stuff inside those hard bags.
After 2 days of rain the bike's not pretty but who cares, I was in the Sunshine State.
What I found truly amazing about Florida was the bridges. What I found truly frustrating about Florida was the bridges. As beautiful and well kept
as they are, trying to navigate around when traffic is heavy was horrible. I tried to do my cruising during the mid-morning hours in-between rush
hours.
Jacksonville Beach. Two girls half my age just stepped out of the car in bikini's. 'Nuff said.
Daytona Beach Lighthouse. Now that was a long drive to nowhere, but it did make for a nice pic.
My brother lives just north of Fort Myers. This was Venice at sunset.
And that's about it. The Harley really is a nice freeway machine. Decent wind protection and it will do 90 all day long.
I hope it holds up as well as my T did. I'll try to keep the rubber side down on this one.
