Based on my experience with radar trailers and others inputs (including motorcycle magazines) I had been thinking the error in our T's
speedometers were 3% to 10% high, i.e. the speedometer reads faster than the T is actually travelling. Today I recorded what my my Garmin Zumo 450 GPS reads
when speedometer is saying I am going 10 mph, 15 mph ... 80 mph. The results are below, and a bit of a surprise to me.
Please note that as Greyaero correctly pointed-out the below graph shows the absolute speed error in mph & percentage. It does not show the speedometer
error.
The next table and graph shows my T's speedometer error in mph and percentage.

Interesting, Fred. Of course, the data and graphs only make sence to you eggheads. All I see is a couple of pretty pictures.
Seriously, I do find it interesting that the speedometer doesn't differentiate that much with speed variance. Do you remember back when I went to the lower profile tires (Valk-sized) on my T? Now I didn't have as acturate of testing tool as a GPS device (I had my wife in ride beside me in the car!), but the speed variance was considerable with acceleration. I've gotten used to it, but to give you an example; at 65 mph (actual), my speedometer reads 73. I just look at it as that it just helps me from getting tickets.

Fred....I find this both interesting and useful. This pins down exactly the speed I'm doing when I'm going down the road.
Now I've got two questions. The speedometer is coming off the front wheel? And you are running a OEM tire on the front too?

Fred you are actually seeing a much bigger and more consistent (MPH wise) difference than I was seeing using my Garmain 2820. I had very little difference at slow speeds and bigger differences at high i.e. the percent diff was fairly constant. I had the common speeds committed to memory last fall but have lost them now, I'll have to re-test. Mmmm more charts

To answer your questions, the T's speedometer sensor is based on the front tire and I am running the OEM front tire.
