Check out this ebay site for a AGM battery that fits the "T"

I bought one of those batteries back in March. It is not an exact fit. You will need to modify the battery tray somewhat and even then it is a very tight
squeeze. The problem is that the shorter sides of it are 1/4" taller than the factory battery. I had to remove most of the rubber cushions from the tray,
and then bend the bottom of the tray down slightly to accommodate the taller battery sides. It can be done but not w/o modification. I emailed the seller and
complained that they were selling these as direct replacements for the Ace Tourer, but never got a response back from them. The battery is made in
China........go figure!

I had the very same problem concerning the fit inside the battery box.
I think next time, I'll use a regular oblong battery. |

Guys, I just a bought a new battery for my T this week and I have good news for some of you.
The Deka brand battery is a direct replacement for the T shaped battery in the Tourer. I used the rubber grommets and the whole bit. It's the same amperage, has the same connectors and best of all, you don't have to fight it to get it back into the battery box. Mine was 75 bucks with the local dealer. |

Is the Deka brand a maintenance free battery? Finding a regular battery is not the problem. It's finding a maintenance free version which fits w/o
modifications, that proves difficult.
