Triumph
Motorcycles (America) Ltd. has announced its new retail sales in the U.S. reached 1,536 units in June - a new single month sales record for the Hinckley, U.K.
based motorcycle manufacturer. This is a 17 percent increase over the same month last year. Triumph's previous record was 1,445 units set in May 2007. The
company's growth has been driven by strong sales of the new Street Triple and the mid-year release of the Speed Triple. The Bonneville T100 and Thruxton
also posted strong gains. "Consumer interest in Triumph's products has never been stronger," said Jim Callahan, marketing manager, Triumph
Motorcycles (America) Ltd. "With the announcement of the Triumph Thunderbird and several new model updates at the recent Global Dealer Conference, we
anticipate this growth trend to continue as the new model range will generate additional traffic throughout our dealership network."
