Most of my pictures are duplicates of pics posted by others. Below: Tony either talking about leaning into a curve or explaining the technique of his next dive off the bridge.
The inside of the yellow caboose. Under the sink is the water tank, next to the sink is a wood/coal furnace. Two chairs and a table on the left, two bunks on the right.

thanks everybody for the great pics and descriptive writings to go along with them. almost felt like i was there, but alas, i wasn't. i rode the missouri backroads during the week just to take my mind off not making the trip to elkins. logged 300+ miles one day and 400+ the next, so for me, i did get in quite a bit of riding, but i still can't imagine some of the longer distance others are doing...not at my age anyway. it sounds like everybody had a great time and i'm looking forward to more pics. that is some beautiful country down there. especially waiting for dawn's video. anybody heard anymore from gary, hope he's not lost. believe he said he was coming back up into illinois. thought at one time i might ride over and try to meet up with him for awhile, but now the rains have started again around here. i've never seen so much rain in this area in july. rained all night and now they're saying we might have "heavy" rains thursday night! i got my riding in between the rains i guess, as i had two really beautiful days of riding last week. at least it's making my tomatoes grow. think this is the best my little tomato patch has ever done! they're over 6 feet tall and loaded with tomatoes! again, glad you all had a great time and everybody made it home safe. bud

It was my intention to ride only 8 hours and stop for the night. But I got so motivated to stay ahead of the rain that I kept pushing myself one more town until I was so close to home I decide....oh well. Rain was my motivation but I was not successful at it. I rode a series of small showers after I left Andy and Tony at I-79. But just south of Pittsburgh the sky just dumped on me. I was terrified and stopped under a bridge with four other bikers come under the bridge with me. This happened three more times where I had to stop until the rain lightened up. Finally arriving into New York State I could see I was racing ahead of the front and that's where I wanted to be until I got home. The rain experience has me convinced that I've got to cut my windshield down so that I get my slip stream on the visor of my helmet to keep it clear. I found the whole riding in the rain experience not too too bad except for not being able to see through my visor and my windshield. What a great ride this was for me. My total mileage for the four days was over 1,000 miles. My riding down Rt 219 on Wednesday and Thursday with Gary was a real challenge for me. I certainly came home a better rider than when I left. What I saw of West Virginia would definitely make me come back. Except that next time I'll do the slabway down and back and use the time in WV for the twisties. Meeting old friends and making new ones is for me what it is all about. What a great bunch of people these are who attend these events. It's like a long awaited family reunion and the memories you carry with you for years. The stories and experiences everyone shares are great. And the laughs are just one right after the other. If any of you regret not having gone to this years event, then start planning for the 8th Annual T rally in Beckley, WV in 2010. I haven't processed my photos just yet, but it seems that everyone captured all the moments, so nothing will get overlooked. I'm going to be replaying each and every event over and over in my mind for a very long time. PS....I can't give enough praise for my rain suit by NITRO Racing. Four horrendous downpours and I never felt a drop come through to me. Same thing about my waterproof CruiserWorks boot

I spoke to Gary last night. He said he rode though some terrible weather on Sunday, rain the whole way. He had to stop twice under overpasses. First when the car in front of him was struck by lightning then later down the road it started hailing. He rolled into Knoxville after 9; over 450 miles in the rain must have been exhausting. Monday he rode the dragon 3 times, got some souvenirs at deals gap then headed down 28 to US-74 then back up 129 to Robbinsville before tackling the Cherohala Skyway. Leaving Tellico plains he took 68 back to the slab and ended up in Crossville, TN on I-40, about half way between Knoxville and Nashville, for the night. He said that he really enjoyed the roads Andy and I both recommended. I got the impression he is thoroughly enjoying himself . His plan was to take US-127 north out of Crossville today (Tuesday) and try to make it back up towards Indianapolis; which should be around 350 miles. Then Wednesday head into Illinois I assume.

It was fun trying to keep with Fred, I think he was just riding slow so those of us who wanted to keep up or try to keep up with him could. lol Thanks Fred. I had a blast riding the roads and the scenery was awesome. But I have to admit with my T breaking down on Sunday with the same problem as before I'm not sure if I will keep it. Ever since it broke down the first time I really don't have much trust in it. It's not your typical Honda co I nicknamed it Honda Davidson. Every time I go to start it I'm not sure it's going to start and to try and ride far from home is nerveracking. I love the bike but I need to get this problem fixed so I can trust it. My girlfriends nephew thinks it's not getting the signal from the engine to pump the fuel but I"m not sure what need replaced? Again Thanks to the guys for helping me get it running so I could get it home.
